Though I wouldn't be concerned about any of that from an operational standpoint, I don't like that slide/frame fit.

Also, I'm sure it's been pointed out a ton, but ALL the roll marks sizing, depth, and fonts are different for BK, including the USP mark and the 9mm x 19 mark both on the slide and barrel. I am being nitpicky, but I don't like the newer, shallower rollmarks, especially on the 45 Compact.

No prob. And a few last pics, now using my BD USPT to compare (so as not to be accused of just using a sample size of 1). Really noticeable that horizontal grain to the finish on the older USPT that is absent on the newer ones.

I have a couple pistols with the laser etched "HK" and wanted the roll marked "HK". Seeing your recent pistol and the other changes that come with it, maybe I will rethink that. Thanks Again!

These pictures remind me that I need to buy a USP.

My buddy just picked up a BK and we too noticed the finish looks thin and more fragile and the slide to frame isn’t fit like all our other HK’s.

Overall it looks more like the new PPQ’s than it does traditional HK.

He’s going to sell it and find an older one to replace it.

Must be the CA-approved checkered hipster finish.

Are all BKs looking like this or just the "frames of color" variety?

So far, the two BKs I have both have said slide finishing, and only 1 is FDE. And I got the FDE one as it was an LE model (only one I saw) and I LEM'd it and am gonna run it to the ground suppressed (I have a TB and TRSA for it).

    Thanks for the detailed pictures!!!
"Old-world craftsmanship" is an idea of the past--- all about profit margins.
Quality (and appearance) of new manufacturing is the reason that I do not acquire.
