First I ever heard of this. I don't own a BK dated HK. My oldest is BF, and the youngest is KH. No change in form, fit, or functional quality in my HK stable at all. Can you upload pics?
Hey y'all. So I have picked up 2 BK date coded USPs (FDE USP9 and USPc45). Aside from already mentioned new "HK" rollmark, I have compared them to my BE/BD dated USPs. The slide finish on the BKs is different, more flat/matte, and not as slick/smooth. And in my opinion, I feel an overall notch down in overall build quality (the FDE frame/slide doesnt match up at the back as nice, and the USPc45's trigger is super gritty, even after a full trigger group disassembly and lube). both BK slides don't feel like they rack as smoothly either, and the internals (when the USPc45 was apart) seems like they have a different finish on them as well (very matte, dull. Maybe no more Corning coating?). Anyway, anyone else take notice? I don't think the guns will function any differently. What do you guys think (btw, I'm the biggest USP cheerleader 🙂). I hope there is not cost cutting going on here...

I bought a BK USPc a few months ago. I was disappointed on how much I had to move the sites on it to hit center mass. I didn’t have to do that on my other USPc l got back in the mid 90s.

Can you post some pics please? Maybe side by side
Pics or a video would be great. I doubt there's cost cutting going on, but could be there's a difference.
Could have been built during Oktoberfest...
It's impossible to capture on camera. One tangible item, neither BK guns came with a factory spent test fire casing in the box. And before you ask, I got the guns from different FFLs at different times.
They do not come with the spent casing anymore not for a while
Here, I tried: the more powerful diff from these pics regarding the finish is that on the BE date code, there appears to be a horizontal pattern in the metal, on the BKs, it appears like a checking pattern. Like the metal slides were smoothed using diff processes. Anyway, here you go. The FDE frame/slide matching is obviously noticeable.
