After looking I think I will be going with the 10-8 .115 front fiber optic and a .140 rear blacked out.

It’s relatively easy, there are tutorials in the Reference Library here, people will help you out if you have questions. Your first is the most difficult and it’s not difficult at all. Take pictures before and as you go for part orientation and while you have it broken down put the nickel plated sear spring in as well. Here’s the kit. Good luck!

Thanks, I'll probably give it a whirl. I am curious though, does that kit delete the decocker lever?

Yes, the solid axle will get rid of the safety/decocker. You can retain the safety if you want by not using the solid axle in the kit and adding a 5+6 detent plate, you will not have the decocking function. Don’t need it with the LEM. Me, I get rid of the safety on all my LEM’s, but the option is there if you want it.

Getting rid of it would give the 45c a cleaner look and be slimmer while carrying technically.

Not on the HS. You're stuck with factory HS unless you buy a lighter one and cut it to size.

Well that would be easy but would the length be the same? For example, a 10lb USP spring cut to the same length as the 45C spring...Would that still yield a 10lb spring? I guess the answer would be somewhat able to tell if the Wolff 10lb springs or 12lb springs for say the USP is the same length as the factory spring for the USP.
