With all that being said, I freaking love how it looks and feels. This is my first HK pistol and it feels like a nice nice quality handgun.

The DA trigger and sponginess is honestly the worst trigger I think I've felt. Is there anything that can be done to it? The DA pull is a workout for sure.

And the sights, the green blob of paint on all 3 is less than desirable. Are there options out there? Maybe a nice blacked out rear and fiber optic front?

LEM if you're willing to move away from DA/SA.

LEM kit and Trijicon HD’s. That’s my 2cents.

LEM and TFX Pros, love mine, one of my favorite HKs.

Have to say though, my German made 2008 DA/SA is factory and pretty darn smooth.

There are things you can do for the trigger.

What EXACTLY is it that you don't like about the trigger?

Gray Guns does have a package - but it's NOT cheap- for $365 and THEY do all the work for you

If you just want a short reset for the trigger and you don't mind doing it your self, it's around $100

It is a very stacking trigger pull on DA. DA is the only gripe I have on the trigger.

DA trigger is 11lb 8oz average and SA is 5lb 6.8oz average.

The trigger smoothness and all is fine with me. I would just like to get the pull weight to maybe 9lb DA and 4lb SA.

Carry it condition 1 (cocked & locked), that is how I carry all of my handguns. Or, convert to LEM, light LEM, or the other LEM modifications, that is if you are looking for a single/consistent trigger pull. If you want to remain DA/SA, I guess the Bruce Grey trigger work; although I have zero experience/exposure to the various trigger work packages. Personally, I’d stay with something from HK (LEM packages, etc...).

As for sights, I like the Trijicons for the HK45. I know there are several other offerings, Trijicon is the offering I used. My HK45 & HK45C now have Heinie suppressor height sights on them.

Or, you could of course sell your smoke wagon to me? Hah!

Simple, carry it C&C and don't worry about the DA pull, it's what I do with all of my DA/SA pistols. The SA pull isn't as good as a true SA pistol but it isn't bad and sure beats any DA pull.

What about a hammer spring? I read on USP compacts this is popular, 10lb and 12lb.
