Default For my 2nd HK should I get a USP or a USP compact?

Well I'm loving my HK45c and I plan to carry it a good bit once I function test it enough. However I'm REALLY after a nice USP 9mm compact. But I'm wondering if I should get the full sized gun first. I want both but my thinking is if I get the compact first I might not get the full size because it really doesn't serve much use for me except for a range toy.

    Thoughts?

If you get one USP then tend to multiply.

I like the USP line but my hand fits the frame well. Some say the frames are a block and do not like the fact there is no panels to change to fit your hand. The full size frames can use a HK match trigger which in my opinion is a benefit over the other lines.

Use the advanced search feature as there is a ton of posts on the USP versus other HK models.

For carry the USPc is the one to get. However, the full size usp with at match trigger and some dawson sights is my favorite pistol. I would recommend the full size or an expert first since you already have a carry gun. Then if you want the compact get it. The full size can be carried, home defense, competition, etc. Ultimately though you need to get all the Hk's:)

Whatever you decide, make one blued and the other stainless steel. Also think DA/SA, LEM, Match, and Hybrid. While you're at it, think standard, Expert, Elite, and Combat. For crying out loud, you need to diversify your growing addiction!!

By today's standards the compact is a full size and the full size is a hand cannon. I carry my compact over just about everything else. To me it is the perfect balance of feel, size, weight, and capacity. That being said I have a few full size also. You won't go wrong either way, but I think compact is more versatile for everyday use.

As far as function testing I dont own a hk45c but between the HKs I do own collectively never experienced a malfunction. I would not carry any other manufacturer.

I'm partial to the compact. Better ft for me.

I've had both, but I carry the USP9 Compact. If it's good enough for the Deutsche Polizei it's good enough for me.

It's very accurate, comfortable to carry, and I shoot it very well.

I have the three 13 round mags and night sights.

The only other thing I wished it had was the roll mark, 'P10'

Compact. It was the most perfect fit in my hands of any handgun I'd ever held.

    Until I tried a P30.

    I still love the USPc.

I don't "run" my guns or "run" anything on them. Likewise, none of my guns are "platforms". I hold them up, not the other way around.

So maybe the Compact now and later save up for the Expert and skip the full size?

If you plan on carrying the compact then yes, that's what I would suggest. But if you're comfortable carrying the 45c then I would get the expert now and save up for the 9c. Really depends on what you want, a range gun or a carry gun?
