Is this coming from Georgia? I believe I am one of the former owners of this pistol. It shot great.

I was an HK newbie at the time and thought it was a factory OD coating, until I figured it out.

The beagle has landed. It's in much better shape than I was expecting--definitely well used but not used nearly as much as I thought. Oddly the whole gun is packed full of lint. Not dirt, lint. Somebody's daily CCW? Came with a set of old Meprolight night sights installed (which have lost most of their zest for life) and the original HK white dot sights in a bag. Now, as far as the paint. It actually looks great and it's growing on me. Good thing, since so far it's been totally impervious to any solvent I've tried on it. Gun is 2000 date code, mags are 1994 for some reason. All said and done, $344.98 out the door, plus $100 for the original UTL.

The trigger is so much better than my P30's I'm shocked HK let the P30 out the door like that.

Glad you're liking your gun. Sounds and looks like your USP aged gracefully over the years. Enjoy!

Still a good deal. I love how cheap USPs have become. Makes me wanna pick up a few and ceracoat them "cool" colors.

I'd love to have a orange frame USP 9, and a American flag USP45.

I think that thing looks great.

It's amazing how cheap .40 S&W's are right now. They'll be all the range again in 10-20 years when they realize 9mm doesn't actually "do everything". Just look at how "Awesome" 10mm is (again).

I know people say you don't have to detail strip USPs, but man was this filthy inside. Cleaned her up good, inside and out. The OD paint is remarkably resistant to chemicals. Prolonged exposure to acetone will soften it but I'm giving up for now. Only cleaned a little overspray off the metal parts I felt like soaking in solvent that long. Fortunately the grubby paint that had been rubbed into the slide and barrel markings came right off with carb cleaner. Looks like a much more respectable gun now.

Congrats and at $299.99 I would have bought it too, even if it was pink, but not if it was a 9mm LOL, most of my guns are in .40, enjoy.

I carried the . 40 USP with the same production year (AA) for 10 years on the job and it is a beast!! Probably 35000 rounds through it and never had a hiccup. Rarely cleaned it. In my opinion the USP is HK 's signature firearm. Awesome deal man. S

Thanks to another HKpro member I got a pile of cheap .40 mags, and with the ongoing Wal-Mart ammo inventory dump I managed to get 400 rounds of .40 in the $7/50 price range. I feel so good being a cheapskate.
