    Is this the spring you're talking about?

    There is a good chance i jacked the TRS a little bit, it looks ok, but I did fight with it for a while with some needle nose before I gave up and order the tool from hkparts

    It sits in a slot on the left side slide release and is held down by the locking block keeping it in the downward position.

    I think you solved it. That spring must have fallen out because I do not recall ever seeing it. Hopefully, I can buy a replacement because I doubt I'll be able to find it

    As a new guy I should warn you that hkparts has gotten in trouble recently for insecure credit card processing. Hk customer service also sells springs
