    Personally, I like auto forward, even my PPQ does it.

    It's actually a feature and if they didn't want it to do that, it wouldn't be doing that.

    None of my pistols of various brands have ever auto forwarded, but then I'm not trying to ram a magazine in like a gorilla. If the combination of auto forwarding and the extended mag release don't work for your grip/shooting style there are many other pistols (HK or other) to focus on. That said, the P30 series is a nice line and I love my V1 P30L/P30sk pistols.

    My P30LS V3 auto forwards, and I was beginning to like it until a State Trooper advised not to rely on it (at least in an emergency) because sometimes the gun won't go back into battery. I have not had that problem but its something to consider.

    Oh I dunno, I've auto forwarded thousands of times, never once have I had a problem going directly to battery.
