A whole new mag body would seem a big investment for little return. I’m just happy they’ve caught up not to mention all the other new offerings. Maybe that new-production P7 really is happening soon:)

    My skeptical HK brain says:

    15 rounds in tube X > 17 rounds in tube X

with regards to reliability and longevity. Hmm. I wonder if there was really enough extra plastic in there. I trust the HK engineers, but it seems a little odd.

VP9 mags have a LOT of follower in it. I use a Grams Engineering spring/follower kit for my competition mags to get +2 rounds. I wouldn't put them in my carry mags but if they were HK factory I certainly would.

Just in time too. LGS has a gray VP9 and Im not sold on the color so have been looking at having them order the FDE and debating going that route as well as the trigger and polish job from lazy wolf. I guess this clinches having them order one of the new models to save sending it out to have the optics cut. WOOHOO! The difference in price is far cheaper than shipping overnight both ways and the $129 price to mill the slide, that $80 is a bargain.

The thing I am struggling with is the optic, the RDS is low profile but the Acro is a tank, last time shooting the G3k with its reflex sight I had light rain and the optic became useless with water on the projecter. Even wiping it only gave me maybe 4 minutes before rain drops rendered it useless again. I am wanting this to become my ccw so have that hesitation, leaning toward the acro but......wondering how it will carry concealed, pricey purcgase to find it wasnt a good one even if I could just swap to a rifle or the mp5 clone.

So, I see the link says "all" VP9s will have the listed enhancements and then goes on to list the VP9L kit as one of the products. I'm hoping that means the VP9L kit will be optics ready too.

We did a group buy on the L kit when it first came out, which worked out very well. Maybe a group buy on the VP9L OR kit?
