Default Disassemble a USP (and similar) magazine, easily...

I tried pushing in on the tabs, nope, didn't work. Then tried pushing the retainer button far enough, FIRST,

    That worked.

See the video at youtube under H&K magazine disassembly

(sorry I can't post the link. And NO, I am NOT monetized, this is for your benefit only)

It's really quite easy once you do it a few times.....;-)

I find the USP magazines easy to disassemble once you have done it for the first time (easier than any other brand of pistol). I just recommend wearing eye protection, as things go flying sometimes and make sure you do it where in case something flies, you can find it easily. I do find the USP magazines a lot easier than the m13 magazines. Spring on the m13 is quite a robust spring.

Why do you want to disassemble the magazine?

    Thank you Ken,
I didn't even look at my 12rd mags. The 10rd mags are different... The 12rd are "normal". The floor plate just slides forward (as would be expected) after the button is pressed...

Here is a pic of the 10 and the 12:Disassemble a USP (and similar) magazine, easily...-img_7697.jpg

    Yes, it is.

As Ken pointed out (below) it is the 10rd mags that have the tabs (and have a special disassembly technique)

Good to do so every now and then after dropping them in the dirt and/or kicking them around.
