I think there was a post about this from the HK booth at SHOT where the rep mentioned both 17 and 12 round mags coming.

So nothing has been mentioned yet in regards to 15 round mags... guess I will have to make some for my P2000.

If anyone is just looking for a generally higher capacity magazine, the first-party Heckler & Koch 20-round P30/VP9 magazines are currently available for a lower cost than the 17-round magazines if you shop around.

I ordered two 17 round mags with red followers on Saturday morning and they arrived today before noon. Super happy with them because my New VP9 was a commie compliant model and only had 10 round mags.

Well, in case anyone was curious:

I tried the new follower and base with my P2000 mags and a P30 15-rd spring... The magazine functioned properly, to include locking back when empty, but I could only get 14 rounds in it. Only ran through 3 mags but in case anyone was wondering... For now I will continue to carry the P2k with 13 rounds until/unless HK comes out with a new version of those magazines as well.

I haven't tried the new 17 round mags yet as I just purchased a brand new P30L that arrives Friday and I want to wait for that.

One of the reasons I've avoided getting an H&K this long is because of flush-fitting 15-round capacity. Why get a gun that's bigger than the Glock 17 when it holds less rounds? Anyway, I know that may not be a good reason for most, but I'm looking forward to trying out this platform. Thus my first post. I look forward to learning a lot here.

Not sure what HK you are referring to but the P30 and VP9 both are shorter in height than a Glock 17. Sure, they both should have had the 17-roung magazines from the start but they aren't "bigger than a Glock 17." The P2000 is also slightly smaller than a Glock 19 (except width) with flat-bottom magazines. Just pointing that out in case you haven't had the chance to compare the two side-by-side. You should definitely get one, but be warned it may multiply quickly! Welcome to the forum!

I also ordered a 17 round Mag with the Red follower from HK and it arrived in 3 days. Very good service. Especially considering shipping times for a lot of things lately. I probably should order another while I can get one. I can use my 15 Rd Mags with my HK VP9 SK LE. Then again, I can probably use the 17 Round Mags in the VP9SK too. May as well order a few of them. Hmmm.

Is the spring the same as the 15 round magazines?

It is not; the spring, locking plate, follower, and base plate all have minor changes made to them. The magazine body is the same.
