    Default New Vp9 2020 vs standard vp9

So the new vp9 2020 comes with the slide cut for optics and new front and rear sights, but I was curious, is the slide cut/machined differently for the front and rear sights too? Or is it the same machining as the previous vp9?

Probably the same. Hopefully its the same -- because it's an optics ready pistol without suppressor height sights.. so that's stupid. When I heard of the OR VP9, I thought about getting back into the game -- but nope. I'm not huge on striker fired anyhow.

Rear cut is different on the 2020. It is a much smaller cut.

The rear sight is the P2000 design I think? Something about the dovetail is different.

What good are suppressor height sights anyways?

On a side note, I went to my gun store to see if they where getting any 2020 VP9 because I was considering buying one. The guy said to me "you jumping on the bandwagon too?" and I was like what do you mean? He says "the pistol optic fad". I was like whaaaaat. You think red dots on pistols is a fad?

This is just my opinion, so take if for what it is worth........ I have found that gun shop/counter guys are generally big bags of wind.... their info is at the very least in-accurate and opinion based, if not just plain wrong...... As for red-dots being a fade, I think he is mistaken. I believe red-dots are the next evolution of handgun sites...

like I said, just my opinions...

No. Not everybody wants a optic, so standard sights should be the ones on it. Can add suppressor height if you put a optic on it.

Unless they keep the non milled slide in production.

IIRC this’ll be the std gun (ver. VP9.17), so it’ll have a std/non-OR sight.
But I never thought I’d see the day, they rushed that rear sight out the gate.
