Default Best Aftermarket Sights for VP9 (std)

I have XS Standard Dot on my VP9SK and they are excellent at 7y. Which meets my needs.

I have Heinie Straight8s on my VP9 standard and they are not as “crisp” even at 7y as the XS on my VP9SK.

I’ve searched the internets and have seen a few unsatisfactory reviews on the XS Dots on VP9 standard, even though they’re great on the SK.

    Questions for HK mates:
    1. Anyone experienced problems to confirm XS Dots on standard VP9?
    2. Anyone experience a different set of sights on standard VP9 that are superb at 7y+?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have those currently and love the two-dot system. I’m not having to much luck with them. I’ve convinced myself that they are designed a bit too tall. /sigh

Yes, I assumed the Dawson fibers would play nice. I also found positive mentions for Vickers on VP9.

I actually like the Meps, other than those my 'go-to' is TFX Pros.

Gotta vote for the Dawson Precision black rear/fiber optic front.

Feel where you are coming from. Have them on 2 custom pistols (Colt Govt./Browning Hi-Power) , I always struggle putting the correct gap between the 2 dots in no light conditions, day light no issues, sights are correct height. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a night sight.

I have Meprolight and Trijicon night sights on my Heckler und Koch pistols

I either purchase pistols from the factory with meps already installed. Or I put Trijicon HD’s on them. I sure like the Trijicon’s sight picture better but I also tend to shoot a bit low with them installed. And they tend to have sharper edges.
