Default HK P7M8 Gun show find

Saw this walking around the gun show. Probably not the best example and the box serial number does not match the gun but for 1K with 2 mags, box, brush, and the metal tool (what is it for again?) I could not pass it up. Even with the pitting that seems to have been mitigated already....Excited to have a good shooter at a decent price.

Any idea why the milling on the slide? I know NJ police did it but curious if that is where it came from or did others do this as well

It's pretty. Curious about the milling. Have always wanted to fire one of these and the P7M13.

Nice find! Congrats!! I probably wouldn't have passed on it either. I like em a little used also, so I don't feel bad about shooting them. I even carry and shoot my HK4. Miss the crap outta my P9S. Damn evil women and divorces...

If you were so inclined to get it refinished. Fords in FLA can remove the mill mark and re-engrave it. They do fantastic work .

It is a German Police trade in. Congrats.
If you need help with servicing it, give me a shout.

Wow that’s a great find for $1k I paid $1400 for my P7 not the M8 version for a shooter. Get out and shoot it and enjoy.

Agreed. I had a P7M13 (blue) refinished in satin nickel by APW Cogan in the 90s. They did a beautiful job. https://apwcogan.com/refinishing/

Any idea what it would cost as would it affect the value negatively ?
