Let's stick to the OP's original question and leave the legal debate for another forum.
Whats up guys? So sadly I am moving to California early next year so I have to stock up on 10rd magazines. I bought a couple mags for my P30 but they have this super whack indent on the bottom of them. Its like they put it there to make up for the extra space. Well I hate it haha. Wondering if anyone here knows of any products or methods I could use to make the bottom of the mags flat? Is there a baseplate I can switch out with them that wont leave a giant crater? Or even just a cover for the bottom of the mags? Maybe there are actually 10rd mags out there with a flat bottom but now im hesitant to buy any more online unless I know for sure. The ones I bought are actually made by HK and its .40s&w if that changes anything. Thanks for any help.
It's a very strange floorplate, with the hollow in it.
I've got a couple of P30 / VP40 10rd'ers.
I'm thinking that two spare rounds would lay in there perfectly, with duct tape over them.
... Black duct tape, of course, for a professional look.
Pics, below of HK's genius.
There is nothing to do with the space in the bottom of the 10 round mags that I am aware of.
