Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
So I purchased a new VP9 OR. I've done endless research on the VP9 and from what I've gathered is that HK45c, P30, and VP9 can all swap irons.
So I purchased some HK45c suppressor height sights (same as on VP9 Tactical) and they overhang...
I'm now realizing that the new VP9 OR has their sight channel further back on the slide to make room for the optic than all previous VP9 models. The only sights that can be used are straight/vertical sights and not any previous design VP9 sights- little ridiculous.
Just a FYI so you dont have headaches.
First 3 pics are of my VP9 OR and rear sight overhang.
Last pic is of previous VP9s. If you look, the rear sight channel is further forward than new models.

This is pretty much common knowledge.
It has been discussed on this forum multiple times.
Additionally, it is mentioned on the HK USA website VP9 product description.
Thanks for letting us know SR. I just ordered a VP9 OR, and didn't realize there was an issue with the rear sight. I'm not sure if it would have changed my mind, but I'm glad to find out before deliveryand not find it as a surprise.
I have heard that the rear sight possibly uses the P2000 sight. I am not sure if that is true or not
