Love it. I can’t imagine doing it any other way. You lose the rear sight, but it’s actually quite accurate inside of 50yds to center up the front sight in the RMR window with the dot off to simulate the optic going dead. If it were a duty weapon I might think twice about it but for what I use them for...

The mount is made by a guy in Vegas. Available on gunbroker, he sells them on his website too but I can remember what it is.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Not to be contrary, but if your battery dies, what do you do for backup?

My battery doesn’t die. Ambient light collector for daytime, tritium in the dark.

I bought the green triangle reticle. In the photo it looks like a blob, but it’s really a sharp triangle. Tip of the triangle @ 25 yds is point of impact, center of the triangle for 10yds or less.

And if nothing else works, you center the front sight post in the middle of the window and let her fly!

I believe I covered that in post #22. In a pinch, the RMR window is a giant rear aperture and it’s more accurate than you might think. But the short answer to your question is: I change the battery.

9mm carbines are fun but if I mean business I’m going to be throwing a rifle cartridge.
