Hiya' kids. Name is Richard...64 years old. Old time target shooter,/gun owner/tinkerer.

Now, I'll be honest...I am a virus baby, lol. I hadn't been to a range in nearly 20 years prior to this one. Thought the timing to jump back in was, perhaps, crucial. Anyway, that was a few months ago.

This morning I purchased my 1st H&K pistol ever! Had been wanting a double stack, single action pistol of my favorite caliber in my old age, but just couldn't find the right one/deal/etc. I ended up with the USP Compact .45, lightly used, for $580 cash.

    How'd I do?

I absolutely love this thing so far. No range time yet of course. It is a very nice pistol. I didn't want to spend a lot on one. I just couldn't let this one get away, lol. I believe that I am a happy camper.

Thanks for listening. I'm sure I'll have questions. If you have ANY tips, opinions, advice, whatever, PLEASE feel free to share with me!

Welcome indeed! Great first HK and yes, you got a good price for that blaster as long as it’s in great shape and I’m sure it is!! Also, welcome to the HK addiction. That USP won’t be your last HK. They multiply like rabbits 😁.

Congrats! You got a heck of a pistol for a first HK. The USP series are some of the best pistols out there, enjoy it!

USP Compacts are my favorite. The only advise I can think of for that pistol for an old time tinkerer is; don't shoot lead through it.

That is the way to enter the HK world with a bang!
Congrats on the great gun and on the excellent deal.
However, you know the old rule - if there are no pictures, it did not happen. :-)
