Default New SP5 resistance was futile

I dropped by the LGS store today to just look around and they pulled out a SP5 that had just arrived and they sat it in front of me. I just couldn't resist it. Its mine now. 4/2020 date code on the box with SN# of 0047XX.

I wasn't in the market for one, but always admired the MP5. I am glad to have picked it up now.

It was my lucky day. I walked in and the guy at the counter said look what we just got in and then set it on the counter. I fondled it for a few minutes and told him he better take it away before I had to have it. I tried to talk myself out of it and walked around looking at other items for a few minutes as I was waiting for my wife to join me. She was shopping in a nearby store.

When she walked in I opened up the case and I asked her what do you think of this. To my surprise she said I like it. It was then a done deal. Out came the charge card and home it went.

I might have found a better deal if I looked around, but as they say a bird in the hand... It was $2769 plus tax.

BTW is the pistol grip supposed to have a cover? Mine is open on the bottom and looks like it should have a cover like the MR556a1.
