Default Vp9 17 round magazine parts in a Usp compact magazine.

So I bought a new 17 round mag from hk over the holiday sale. I like the red follower. I decided to try the follower, spring and plate in my .40 cal Usp compact magazine, running 9mm.
I could squeeze 17 rounds in there, but the last round is probably too tight. So I ran it with 16 rounds through my compact 9mm. I only ran one mag through it, No failures. Locked back on empty mag. I know only one mag.
I’ll be testing more with this set up and see how she runs.
I also plan on trying this out in the black jetfunnel magazine.

Have you tried the mag extension kit? I also saw another US mag company, xtreme I believe. Ever used offbrand mags in your pistol?

So I ran Some more mags through the 9mm compact. After the 2nd mag I started to have the last round failing to feed with the slide fully locked back. I ran 5 mags and had the same issue.
Here you can see the follower on the right(Vp9 17round) is higher than factory .40

Here is the Factory 40 on the left with 9mm mag body with shorter follower on the right. Follower fits much better.

So I bent the feed lips on factory 40 mag body in about .5 mm. Still wider than the 9mm mag feed lips. Vp9 follower is lower now.

I ran 2 more mags through it with no issues.
I’ll be continuing to test and report back. I’ve been using a mix of 115g and augulia 124g.

Well the mag wasn’t on sale but I got a tlr-3 for half price plus free shipping so I picked up the mag while I was buying.

I’ve tried the hkparts +5 on 15 round Vp9 and 13 round uspc 9mm magazines. I had no issues with the quality or the functionality. I do prefer the factory finger extension on the Uspc. I tried the extension on the .40 mag running 9mm. Since the mag body on .40 c is a little longer there was a gap between the extension and the pistol frame. I didn’t like the way it looked and it pinched my finger.
I have not tried aftermarket mags.
