Default Sling setups on HKPDW brace

    Gents,

What are you guys with HKPDW braces running for sling set ups?

Why SB tact left off the rear sling loop is beyond me, the qd point is kinda dumb. Really wish I could just run a HK green sling.

I also found the qd point very narrow, and many of my qd swivels from various companies would fit.

Anyone use a ambi loop large pin on the hkpdw brace to get a rear HK hook point?

    Pics would be great.

I moved your thread to the HANDGUN section. Because we know that you would never use this set up as a LONG GUN and did not mean to put it in the LONG GUN section.

Wondering what happened to your posts???

Of course, absolutely, I just got zero response in the pistol forum when i posted this a few days ago, and saw more threads on the sp5 in the long gun section, so I figured I would try for a larger audience. But my pistol is a wonderful pistol, doing all its wonderful pistol things, happy to live in the pistol forum.

I am very happy with a Blue Force Gear Vickers sling on my SP5. I've got a QDM Magpul sling swivel and a Strike Ind QD coming to try as the current QD contacts the brace.

I ran this very same set up for a while, but I had a QD point at the forward end of my Midwest MLOK forend. However, I ultimately went back to the single point bungie sling the SP5K came with. I just use a QD stud plugged into the base of my brace. I just found it to be more compact, and the overall length of the SP5K was too short to really utilize the quick adjust 2-point. Now, on a full size SP5, I think I would do what @Lolvo is doing...

    just my thoughts on it.

I'm running the BFG Vickers sling. I got it with sewn-in hardware, which maximizes the useable adjustability. (And gets rid of the extra buckles)

Glad to see I'm not the only one plagued by pet-hair. It shows up in every single pic I try to take. ;-)

That looks fantastic! How do you like the Shield sight set up?

I absolutely love it. The small footprint and perfect absolute co-witness is exactly what I was looking for.
