Wow. All the "Mark" 23's I've ever seen are beat to heck. I bet this NIC one goes for a pretty penny.
Forget the fancy colors, short slide, long slide, and optics cut, I just want a VP9 with a darn mag release button!

Appears legitimate--- correct serial number range for a M"ark" 23, the fill-in paint has the correct, "tannish" hue (i.e., not bright white), and has the "US Patent" on the lower, right grip panel!!!

@AGG, I dont mean to be argumentative, but I referenced this post:

Military model @ 23-100 through 23-2086 (marked "Hk USSOCOM Cal. .45).
    Civilian model began @ 23-2087 (KG/96; marked "Mark 23" then "MARK 23" late 1996) through 23-117XX (AH/07).

Maritime finish (high gloss)- 1996 through early 2004.
Hostile Environment finish (satin finish)- early to mid 2004 through 2007 (current).

    Hope this helps!

Based on those ranges I don't see how a "Mark" 23 can have a 3 digit serial. (Ok, maybe a little argumentative)

Does not look new/unfired as the seller claims. You can see significant wear on the safety lever.

Ahhh--- the serial number in the auction is actually 23-262X--- the last digit is covered!!!
It seems that the seller may have used some of my language in his description.

Agreed. I applaud Jet Inspector for his "keen eye", but then again...with a moniker like that, one SHOULD expect Attention to Detail !!! Alas, also to 'defend' the unicorn nature of HIS recent acquisition ( I say in reverent tones....) I happen to live very close to the NATIONAL NAVY SEAL MUSEUM in Fort Pierce, Florida and took this display picture there last year for my own curiosity/edification. I am very proud of my 3 sibling KG 29XX's so I call BULLSHIT on the G.B. ad.

Most sellers in good taste (or with Integrity anyway) may tape/block the last two digits, but only hiding the LAST??? Coupled with the excuse of 'My Gun Broker account contact is a little "wonky" ?' and Phone # at the bottom??? Nah. My retired cop and Spidey-Sense is all AFLAME !

'sides, as discussed, that low a number should be marked, as this photo MK23 USSOCOM
