The KG coded Mark23 that I bought in Germany in 1999ish was also marked the same. I later imported it and still have it.

. So if they only made 700 like that, how many actually made it to the US?

I have not seen any "Mark" 23's (KG) outside of the U.S.--- initially (and thereafter), the Mark 23 was aimed at the U.S. market--- that is the reason that so many are in the U.S.--- though I have seen "MARK" 23's (KG) in Germany and Switzerland!!!

Mine says Mark23 for sure. The serial number is less then about 100 higher then the one on auction.

It came to me via a German wholesaler "Wischo". The German commercial pistol market moves slow...

    Beautiful pistol.
If "Dirty Harry" had been made in 1996:
"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire twelve shots or only eleven?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a HK MARK 23, the only offensive handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

Presume yours is the Euro version (i.e., faux wood metal case for 1996/German manual/test target)--- please verify!!!
I have never seen a "KG " Euro--- could you PM me the full serial number (strictly confidential)???

No one could ever fault you for buying an Ed Brown 1911. Also, AGG is correct, they are 10 round magazines. Auction has been updated. Thanks fellas
