I'd be more worried about the position of the retainer pin hole. I could be wrong but it looks like it's too far to the rear.

It should be exactly 9mm from the end of the lower, see pic.

The pin hole diameter is 3.2mm but the the outer hole is wider than the actual hole where the pin goes. I'm guessing the pin is 2mm. So whatever pin size Brownells wants to use, the middle of the retaining pin hole should be 10.6mm from the rear.

Good call! It goes look about 1mm too far to the rear to me as well. Can someone whom has received their BRN lower confirm the measurement?

$500 gift card with a 416 parts kit now. That almost buys a barrel and bolt.

That's what I was thinking but didn't want to be the first to say it. Paint also looks like the wrong colours but it could just be the lighting...

I really think the pictogram looks odd because of the wrong color and a bad fill job. The lines on the pictograms are thinner than the originals, but if that is the most I have to gripe about, I am good. The finish looks good and dark rather than the “chalky grayish” most lowers have. I cannot wait to see them in person.

P.S. I got a tracking number and pending no delays, they should be here tomorrow evening.

Small correction, the center of the pin should be 11mm from the rear.

I just got off the phone with Brownells CS. The guy I talked to said they are waiting on a shipment from the factory and expect to have the next batch ready by end of January/beginning of February, but it could be sooner or later.

When I told him that people were already getting shipping notifications (including one from the same day I ordered), had said the last order they had fulfilled was from October...

    I'm calling bullshit.

The retaining pin hole looks positioned correctly when compared to my MR556. Both photos are of an MR556
