Neither, it is a choice I made after a customer on another product and decided inherent liability isn’t worth it when I clear $50-55 on a lower after shipping (before taxes). It takes roughly an hour to line up and engrave at low speed to give the white appearance. So I went back to doing what I started this business for. If anyone wants to email and share them with the community, I will gladly email the .dxf files for others to use and have. I didn’t advertise the service. But I do thank HK Pro members for the support.

Thank you all, I really appreciate the community and if anyone who wants to share he files via Dropbox or another sharing program, message me. Thanks

Well, understood, but on his website he can do as he pleases. It is no longer offered there, which is a pity as many of us had planned to go with him.

Would you consider doing them at a higher price point where you make a reasonable margin? Some of us might be interested.

If it's a question of reimbursement, I'd be happy to pay significantly more for your valuable time and effort. I agree, that profit margin seems too narrow for what you were offering.

Also, screw liability. This is a custom service and it entails some level of risk. I'm 100% ok with that.

Either way, thanks for the explanation and I respect your position!

Reimbursement? Its about making that paper bro.... Chad seems like a stand up guy. Responding to emails within a hour!?!? Only other vendor that ever gave me that kind of service was DJ Gets. Also seems to me Chad stands by his work. Too bad some people can never be made to be happy no matter what you do. I guess I'm fortunate enough in my line of work to tell people no and then take the court when they disagree with me, lmfao...

Customs work like these lowers for a hour of work should be at least $200 per hour. Just saying. I've paid $50 for engraving my trust info on my NFA toys before. $100 was a steal of deal.

All, I have been told that Engage Armament is able to engrave the lowers. I have no details on pricing on turn around time. However, I understand their reputation is tops. Good Luck!

I guess reimburse was a poor word choice. What I meant was "to compensate with payment". These days reimburse is primarily used in the business context to indicate a repayment of money spent. However, the word itself used to carry more nuance. My bad.

I agree that $75 was a steal. It was nice of Chad to offer the service but he runs a business and deserves to get paid, like you said.

While their is liability in destroying the lower, I imagine the greater liability is from copyright/trademark holders.
