So this honestly has not been my experience. The firearm was made in Germany for the Santa Fe Division of GSAC. I am still waiting to see your 1962 OEM HK box photos, or perhaps even the one the importer made for it back in the day. I am sure anymore OCD enough to maintain a NIB 57-year-old firearm, undoubtedly kept the postage stamped “shipping” to preserve the original so it wouldn’t be damaged. Don’t forget all the original instruction manuals.

Sounds like it's your rifle on gunbroker by all your posts and you may be a bit hurt by someone who has one a bit better??
Spent most of my tax return on Hk parts, booze and ammo....the rest I just wasted

I never claimed that I had an HK G3 (3/62), much less one NIB w/all!!!
But I have to believe that at least one exists in some collection.

Interesting that this one has a proper swingdown group and that is perfectly OK, but the pix I posted of the one I owned years ago with the same function caught a firestorm of flak as to it's being fake. Harrumph.

Only the 3/62 has the "MG" push-pin, swing-down lower--- the reason that it is the most desired!!!
Are you referring to the G3 with the "SEF" trigger pack housing?
