I saw those....thanks for posting anyway, but I think he's just a tad out of price range, given they are BE, and not BF date code

Seriously overpriced for used BE uppers but to each their own I guess...

ETA: reading on mobile...sellers claims these are BNIB??? $6K+ is still too high in my book.

Yes, the seller is asking crazy prices. I inquired about purchasing multiple uppers (because most sellers will work a better deal on something like that) but this guy actually went up significantly on the price ($6000 if I wanted one and $7000 each if I wanted multiples) Me thinks he will have those uppers for a while

    Hmm....

I don't really follow 416 stuff (I have a PWS long stroke SBR) so you guys are doubtless more in tune with this than I am but I would have thought the first gen BE are rarer? And usually consecutive ser. #'s bring a premium, no? I do recall seeing some other listings lately but IIRC they were used PD guns......

Thought I'd give my $0.02 for what it's worth. I recently purchased one of these BE uppers from NPA-AMMO. It is a legit brand new unfired BE upper. Mine arrived with zero wear inside or out with a new spring & buffer. I'm not going to sit here and try to justify why I bought a "New" 416 upper over a used, less expensive one. falls into "to each is own" category. I'm blessed with the finances to spoil myself occasionally.
I contacted him through Gun Broker then talked with him extensively off-line. After some good conversation, I decided to pull the trigger. I found him to be really reasonable, easy to work with. If you are in the market for an unfired "Bx" upper, you owe it to yourself to at least contact him.
I'm not sure how may unfired Gen 1 416 uppers are left out there... If you care about that, your options may be limited. if not. there are plenty of used options.

Happy to answer questions if you have concerns about what you would be buying.
