I have one in the cardboard box. I have a couple in the soft cases and a couple in the hard cases.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in and confirm or deny.

    Thanks

Good link. That discussion suggests that the gun pictured in a cardboard box may not have been imported by HK. This jogged my memory. For some reason, I seem to remember some servicemen buying HKs in overseas PX’s and bringing them back. If so, could these cardboard boxed Matches be such guns? Would those guns have an import stamp on them (I’m thinking, no)?

If I could just own a factory original and decent HK Match pistol (9 or 45) new or used, I'd be happy as a camper without the factory box or case.

This is not a Match, but here is a seller talking about the cardboard boxed HK’s.

There are other discussions on this forum and others about the cardboard boxes.

From the discussions I’ve seen, the Match came in two types of Woodgrain European hard cases, the Black Hard case, the Black Eagle soft case, the Cardboard box and some early Matches were delivered with no case or box.

Again, waiting for an Expert to chime in.

    Thanks

Does your cardboard box Match have an importer’s mark?
