I've seen 2 types of original cases for the ss match. They came in a hard case. The fake wood type pictured, and the black with red hk logo, have been used, but iirc, the matches all got the black ones. Your soft tac case is not original to the late 90s. Nice gun either way.

Those hard cases are European. HK Sold the Match in a black soft case as pictured. It appears to be completely correct. Now, does everyone know there were two different Match weights, the more rare version on the early guns?

It is my understanding that some of the HK imported US released models also came in a cardboard box.

Never heard of the cardboard box (but you never know with HK). I ordered my stainless match when they first appeared on the price sheet. Got one with the early match weights. Came in the black nylon zippered bag as shown.

Correct--- different packaging--- generally, the Euro models with German manual and test target came with the aluminum cases!!!
