Default Brownells BRN-7 HK417 Lower Receivers

I was just searching around and stumbled upon the new Brownells BRN-7 HK417 lower receivers. They’re in stock! Finally a way to build a pistol or “other firearm” 417 build.

    https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...rod124969.aspx

“BRN-7 Stripped Lower Receiver, machined from original HK417® forging out of Germany.

Brownells started with a raw HK417® forging, and had them machined by Primary Weapons Systems to be as authentic as possible. These lowers feature the classic contours of the HK417®, found on no other lower receiver. Selector markings are inspired by HK417® markings, with color filled pictogram markings. The FFL information is machined on the front of the magazine well, where the normal HK417® warning information is placed. Following machining, these receivers get a matte black Type III anodizing.”

Is there a source online for German Hk MR762 / 417 barrels and bolts?

Numrich Gun Parts has MR762 barrels in stock. I bought one and it came in a HK labeled package that said Made in Germany. (Not sure how or why since I thought barrels were banned for importation.)

Just doing some simple math here.

    Brownells:
    BRN-7 Lower: $417
HK 417 Upper Parts Kit: $2500

    Gatewood Supply:
    HK417 Bolt: $1000

    Numrich:
    HK MR762 16" Barrel: $694

    Total: $4611
    10% Off Brownells: $4319.30

New HK MR762A1 Rifle: Lowest instock prices ive found is around $3300-$3400.

It's a hard pill to swallow to build up a MR762/417 Pistol vs SBRing a MR762A1.

For people who live in states where you can’t have a SBR (like me), the cost doesn’t matter. I have another 417 upper with a $300 brownells/PWS barrel and a $215 factory MR762 bolt head. That takes $1,200 off of your estimate.

Any source for MR762 bolt heads for that price?

I grabbed mine at MGW, but they’re out of stock at the moment. Numrich also sells them, too. You can always call HK Customer Service and order one for the same price.

It's not a machine gun barrel, and it's not surplus.
