I don't know why since the date code and serial number on the slide are readable in the second photo, and the serial number is readable in the third photo. Maybe bad photography?
these are one of the authentic 40 USSOCOM slides/barrels that came out on GB a few years back. the seller just used a mark 23 receiver and probably sold the oem slide/barrel that came with it. i'm loving it...sexy!
I am still confused. I thought the SOCOM slides did not have a serial number or date code? At least all the ones I've seen for sale in the past did not.
Im with yz on this one. But i didnt see any slides for sale for like a year on GB but this is the second one in the past month. I wonder if more people are going to start selling theirs?
Looks like a Mk23 slide and barrel that may have been refinished... not a replacement slide!
The replacement slides did not have an external serial number... some have it on the underside, in one of the channels.
Given some of the other descriptions from this seller, there is usually more to the story.
So this is nothing more than a clone. It would have been helpful for the seller to put that information in the ad. Also wondering why its listed as brand new.
Direct to you, from the Bo French collection!!!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Replacement slides (the 40) are all Maritime finish--- as are all of the "original" USSOCOM--- which have distinctly, different markings.
i stand corrected then...i forgot about Bo's ussocom. i didn't even bother zooming on the pics so i didn't see the finish. i just assumed it was one of the 40 bec there's no serial on it. so yah, this is definitely bo's...even the slight scratch on it. too bad he sold his collection...
I pm’d that seller last week asking about the tan Mark 23 he had listed since I’m also in Phoenix but no reply now tonight I can’t find any of his 4 listings including the supposedly factory engraved P7
