Lots of ways for that to go wrong, we are obviously seeing one of those here.
This is our fault. We guaranteed them a delivery date that was missed (horribly) by the carrier. In normal situations they would have met their schedule.

Yes. And couldn't apply them b/c we missed the delivery date.

They had no problem charging my credit card in a timely fashion.

I’d be fine with this all if it was transparent.

Good luck with getting your trigger pack timely!

They did not charge your card. They did what is called an Authorize. This holds the money on the card so they can capture when it is shipped. If the capture doesn't take place in a specified time period, it drops off.

AU could have listed them as pre-order (with an expected delivery date), not IN STOCK. Yes, we can be upset with them.

It's not like they have any competition.

Call it what you want, there is $999 on my AmEx at this moment. The basic point is I am starting to tire of their business practices. I doubt I am alone on this point. Don’t say in stock if it is not. Don’t say shipped if it is not shipped. Simple things reputable companies don’t do.

This is almost a week and a half delay beyond the expected delivery date. In LTL freight this happens sometimes.

All open orders will be shipping by the end of this week. Please do not get upset at them.
If they had just had the good sense to be transparent with the delay, I for one would have been 100% good with it.

I ordered an SBR upper from Barrett and it was 4-6 weeks out. They called me 4 weeks in and told me they would be delayed due to a materials quality issue. I told them I appreciated their reaching out and they could take as long as they needed. That is the way things should work.

I appreciate your being on the board and commenting, not your fault at all. Thank you!

The consensus seems to be the confusion caused with the shipping notification. I assume that happened when their shipping crew came in the morning of the planned pallet arrival and printed labels, but then nothing arrived. I don't know their e-commerce platform, but sometimes you can't real that back in. That may also be associated with the funds capture vs. authorization. I'm not exactly sure. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. The somewhat constructive criticism has been received and will be passed along.

Pre-order is a great idea rather than in stock. We already provide them with an allocation number after import verification. This number is calculated this way - if there are 20 trigger packs, we tell them 20, they list less. This insures that they do not over allocate. This often results in a few that pop up in stock later on for a few more people to grab once they receive, inspect and confirm numbers. Up until now, those have been put in stock, but now I'll suggest that the next "high" demand item order, that pre-order availability (in the US, but not at warehouse) is noted so that people who can wait a week or two, can jump in and grab their allocation. For those who want instant gratification and super quick delivery, please don't order in the future until the new items are marked "in-stock".

I hope the wider group can appreciate the insight that I am trying to give you into this process. It is not amazon prime, where if you order by 10am you might get it by 9pm. There also will be mistakes like the shipping labels. AU is leaning forward as hard as they can to get the product out and available to you. The same way that we are pushing the supply chain to get it here as fast as it can from overseas. Doing that, sometimes things get tripped up and things are delayed a short time.

I appreciate your clear and articulate replies. I hope AU also appreciates how effectively you are carrying their water.

I’m currently waiting on a trigger pack that I thought was shipped last week. I for one appreciate you coming in and telling me what’s going on. I don’t mind waiting, as long as I know why.
