Default HK 11” MR 223 for sale on GB

Just in case you missed out on one of the 20 or less 11” MR 233s in black, here is your second chance. There were approximately 10 In Ral8000 making the total 30 or less 11” versions imported into the US.

They were originally $6495 at Arms Unlimited. The 11” ones sold out almost instantaneous. Shortly after that the 14” ones sold out at $5995 and now they are down to 13 if the 16” versions left. There were less then 100 total (11” black, 11” Tan, 14” black, 16” black) imported. These are essentially a semi auto HK 416 for a fraction of the price (back then at $6495). They have a chromed lined barrel and all of the OTB (over the beach) features. The real interesting parts is the serialized sticker that comes in the box. It is labeled as a “ Selbstladegewehr” which means “self loading rifle” in German. These should technically not exist in the US but, someone was creative enough to get it through customs by classifying it as a pistol. With the guns laws in Europe being rewritten and HK only working on military contracts, it will probably be a very long time before another one pops up for sale. I’m glad I purchased mine when I had the opportunity.

My heart says 'yes please' but my wallet says 'sorry, pal'. I wonder how high this one will climb.

I was lucky enough to secure a brand new BE 416 upper not too long ago that I'm extremely happy with - one of these would have made a great companion.

Congrats, Brobus, on yours which I'm sure is amazing to shoot!

Besides the matching upper and lower receiver what is so special about this “pistol”

Buying a true 416 upper and a Brownells pistol lower seems to be way too similar.

What is the consensus here of value besides what somebody would pay obviously.

It's tempting but I have just finished my all black HK416 recently. I would like to have the ambi controls and 11" barrel. If it were a RAL8000 version then I would not be able to resist.

All the parts have matching serials and it was all built by HK except for the brace. What would you rather have, a classic car that has all matching serialized parts made by the factory, or a pieced together car with non matching serials that was built by someone else? It’s hard know an exact value, but it certainly a hell of a deal when you consider a true semi auto 416 SF is worth $17-25k.
