    Thanks for the heads up.
I just got my 2 SP5s this weekend, and just started looking into changing the drum.
I am not trying to be the cheap HK owner. I have no problem paying for quality, but hate paying more than I have to for anything.

The HK one looks cool, but looks identical to this USA spec on on HK Parts.

It is just a drum, nothing crazy, right? On barrels, mags, stocks, etc, I have always gone German and OEM, but the HK version is more than 2x as much as the US version and there is no visible HK marking.

Do people go with this one over the US one just to say their guns are all German? How would anyone, including the shooter know if it is made by HK or not?

I am not trying to "that guy", I honestly don't know the answer.

I have owned both of them. In terms of functionality, they are identical. However, the HKParts one is made out of aluminum, has a different(glossy) finish to it, and the knurling is of subpar quality compared to the real HKs drum.

I don't think the HK parts one is aluminum mine takes a magnet. It is definitely more glossy though.

Order a set of hemostats too. Blood pressure will remain in check. Yes you can use just the sight tool, but much easier when re-installing.

The one I ordered on 04/16/2020 was aluminum and was not attracted to the magnetic parts bowl that I use.

@Saab95v6 is a member (vendor?) here on the Forum. I've purchased from him and he's fantastic!

I think they changed them recently. The one I ordered from HK Parts over a year ago definitely took a magnet. A second one I ordered this year definitely did not.
    Do you even HK, Bro?
