Default A couple new HK knives

    The sickness continues......

I took advantage of the 10% off sale on knives from the Webshop for Memorial Day. I picked up one of the new Hogue knives, the Karma (Tanto). I'm a tanto blade fan. https://us.hkwebshop.com/hkstorefron...ack/p/95000092
I wasn't sure what to expect from the Hogue knives. I had seen the Exemplar at a LGS, but had not handled it. I have to say, the Karma is a big stout knife. Seemingly pry bar stout.

I also picked up the Swiss Army Knife. https://us.hkwebshop.com/hkstorefron...ekker/p/708073
I have been intrigued by this knife for many years, since I first saw it on the German Webshop, and I have always had a soft spot for Swiss Army Knives (MacGyver issues I suppose?(original Cold War Era episodes)). I was pleasantly surprised by the Swiss Army Knife, it was quite a bit larger than I expected. It is of general Swiss Army Knife quality, and has the usual blade/bit features.

They arrived in the mail yesterday, and I didn't get home from work until late, so I did not take any pic's. I'll get some pic's taken tonight. I'll make sure to put something in the pic's to scale how large these two blades are.

PS: I'm curious about Hogue's OTF HK knife. It is not listed on the Webshop, I assume to prevent HK-USA staff from having to research which States prohibit ownership of OTF knives. That said, has anyone here purchased one? I have the Benchmade HK OTF knife, it is nice. I know there are arguably better OTF knives out there, but for the price point, the Benchmade version is a good choice. I assume the Hogue OTF will be of similar (or better???) quality, just haven't crossed paths with one yet.

I purchased a HK Exemplar (non-serrated w/ stonewash finish) a few weeks ago and have been using it as my EDC since. Very happy with the knife.

I also like that the G-10 grip pattern on the Exemplar is the exact same as the P30/VP9 series pistols.
