An interesting point being the entry into the civilian market those DOJ/DOC guns made and imported after 1989.
I have seen several examples of the DOJ 94's back in the day.. Very beat up on the outside with electo penciled DOJ markings that were not that deep into the metal . You guys that have bought 94's since early 2000's need to look to see if your weapon has these markings under the refinish . Some have been refinished and sold as a " normal " pre 89 ban . The versions I saw were fired very little and carried a lot .
Here's a late serial number "IK" for sale. Price is way too high, but it's definitely a DOC gun, in very nice condition with no rack numbers engraved that I can see.

Mine had very, very little wear, and does not have the rack number stenciled on it. In fact, mine appears to have been, or carried, very little.
