He has been really great via email.

May I ask why you picked an G36E kit versus the more popular G36K? Did you use your original SL8 barrel or the one that came with the kit?

    Best regards,

I don't care for the pinned extended flash hider... I have both kits and I'll be selling one when I get home. The the SL8 barrel is heavy as hell and I have 2 SL8's. One will stay in the factory set up and the other is going to get the G36 conversion.

That's nearly an oxymoron. I'm having trouble seeing how one might do it for less than $4k right now. I'm aware of a couple G36K conversions for sale at $4500. I'm tempted to get one myself because they're turn-key ready and I know the work was done right. I'm in the middle of an SL8 to XM8 conversion already, though.

I just sold my HK SL-6, and I am going to grab one G36 conversion from a great builder for sale around here.

I agree with matrxx, looking on the Tommy, looking at his website, I didn't realize that he is not far from I live and he built two SL8-G36 rifles for Engage Armament, I will need to check both out.

Tommy is doing my mag well conversion right now. He did a Kalifornia compliant fixed stock for me a few months ago and his work was flawless. You can't go wrong having him do the work.
