From my limited knowledge about German laws (basically that the government has very strict control of the patents, limiting them from even producing weapons that they have designed in Germany in other countries) I can only guess that this is HK asking permission to produce them here or to allow someone else to do so or at least act in partnership to produce US parts.
If not, what is the point if they know they cannot produce them in Germany and import them here?
My understanding is that the German govt have to certify they aren't weapons of war and can be sold to civilians. The BKA is like the US FBI.

What does everyone believe it will do to the value of the converted G36 models (Tommy built, etc.)

    Best regards,
Depends on what-all is different. If it cant accept a G36 magwell, I'd wager they go UP in value.

Has there been issues with this? First time I've heard of this, sounds like an easy loc-tite fix.

Amazing news either way. Although the price of my un-used K kit is about to plummet...

Saber, I dont think so. If you read the page, it states what is different from a G36, and it mentions this:

"be fitted with different barrel lengths and shanks" - I'm assuming this means an SL8/G36 barrel will not fit - correct?
