    Default HK94 Barrel Replacement Considerations

Hello all, I am a new member to this site but have been lurking for a while. I have an HK94 that currently has a threaded barrel. I bought it at a discount because it was threaded but now I want to return it to a standard/stock configuration. It has an IG date code. I have several questions I'm hoping someone can help me with:

-Where can I find a standard 16" German replacement barrel? A used barrel would be fine and one with an IG date code would be ideal.
-What should I expect to pay for a replacement barrel?
-What is involved in replacing the barrel and how would I go about finding a reputable local gunsmith that could do the work?

Any thoughts or suggestions are most appreciated. Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you contact the following:

    Brethren Armament
    Dakota Tactical
    HK Specialist
    HKParts.net
    Michael’s Machines
    Parabellum Combat Systems
    TPM Outfitters

To see if they may have one. When they appear the price is typically $200-300 depending upon condition. If I needed that work done I would contact Jeff at Parabellum Combat Systems.

Thanks gang. I found them on the Sturmgewehr site you mentioned. He's asking $265 plus $15 to ship. Based on the price range @edman99 mentions I guess that is reasonable. Also, he mentions in his listing that the date codes are IH5V and IH5H. Sorry but I'm a newb...what do the last 2 characters represent and am I to assume the two leading characters indicate an "IH" date code? Thanks again for your responses.

Yes, the first two letters refer to the date code. I think the remaining two refer to production lots.
