They are basically making an aluminum G36 which is very cool and would sit right in between my 36 clone and SCAR 16 & 17. Aluminum and what appears to be a lower sight platform would be perfect. Maybe they are importing the FX 05 from Mexico with a better looking stock. Given the close ties to german weapons including the hoards of G3's they still carry, maybe Mexico has been the test ground for this platform.

-folding stock, adjustable for LOP with moveable cheekpiece
-ambi bolt release lower front corner of trigger guard
-non-reciprocating charging handle, swappable to either side
-AGR and a short handguard just long enough to expose the AGR knob
-monolithic aluminum upper with slide on handguard

I will post a note when these become available to the civilian market in Europe. We will be happy to be Beta Testers. Cheaper than a 416 aka MR? - even better. I'll take more than one in 556 and 7.62.

I keep seeing comments drawing parallels or pointing out similarities between this new HK433 rifle and FNs' SCAR 16/17 or the Magpul/Busmaster/Remington ACR...and they are right to an extent. However, any rifle that is competitive in the market military or civilian has to have a lot of the same features hence the similar outward appearance. The thing that people miss is that at their core all of these rifles are essentially modern variations of the Armalite AR18 (The HK433 included assuming it utilizes a very similar operating system to the G36 which I believe the SCAR and ACR were heavily influenced by). Whatever the case this is good news especially if a semi-auto variant is offered to the US market! Who doesn't want a new HK rifle?!
I have seen some speculation that this is positioned as a cheaper model the 416, but what would make this model particularly cheaper to make or sell, if that is even the case?
G3K is correct, the 7,62 NATO is the HK231, the .300BLK is HK123.
Yup, HK way of naming things seems... worth researching.
I've seen enough to know that I want one. I actually love the looks and features, I just hope we can get one while we're still young enough to enjoy it! I wouldn't count on Trump's second term, so the HK clock is ticking boys, 4 years and counting. I don't know how many rifles I bought while waiting for the MR556 to come out.
