    Default HK 91 Trigger Housing

New to me HK91. HK date code SACO import. Great shape! The trigger housing has a little play front to back. If you hold the rear grip, you can move the lower receiver forwards and backwards. I'd say a 1/16" or even less. Thoughts?

It is actually the trigger housing as there is no “lower receiver”....put a little tape on the bottom of the tang

Tang as in the part with the 2 holes off the rear of the housing and the bottom of that where it meets the stock

Right you are. Just got home from an 11 hour round trip to get it so a little tired. Is that normal then?

Not normal but happens....is it a metal or plastic housing?

I'd be really surprised if it's actually 1/16". But is it is, it's probably just a worn housing since the metal ones don't have holes, just that radius that hits the front pushpin. The plastic ones have full holes and won't have as much slop.

My son uses the heavy foil tape for ductwork to fix the play in his AK. It stays in place and is heavy enough not to wear away with use.

AviatorDave, that sounds about right. It looks that the trigger housing needs just a little more metal "added" so that there is not as much slack between it and the front pin. Thinking I can possibly have the housing modified instead of replacing it.
