    To the OP, hkparts has new German traditional looking A3 stocks but they are very pricy and come with a lot of extra plastic that was not present on the old ones. See my thread as I just bought one and was questioning its origins as I had never seen one with all the plastic.

    If you want all metal you are better off checking eBay and the sell boards here and maybe strumgewehr as the originals come up from time to time. I did not realize about all the plastic or I would have held out. Quality is there on the one I got it’s just not what was expecting for the price.

    By researching, reading and comparing. Sadly, if it doesn't have a date code, you have to know what you're looking at.

    Buy a used one and send to Mike @ TSC to refinish ... thats what i did. Mike was awesome to work with.
