Default Another A3 stock question …

I like the original style A3 stocks for the MP5 (not fan of the F types) so I finally bit the bullet and got what I understood to be one of the last of the new factory German ‘old style” A3 stock from HK parts. I have a number of the older ones and the are full metal (except for the butt) with brownish rubber “H” buffers and some kind of date code.

The one that came from HKparts looks new, is very clean and appears to be a good quality, but has plastic for the latch and the rear for the receiver end, a clear rubber buffer and no codes at all (the rectangles are there but blank).

What did I get? If factory German, when did HK change the design?

    TIA

Don't know but the buffers start clear and turn brown over time.

This thread will answer all of your questions except the "when" part. They dropped the metal lever some time during the second generation.

Thank you. I remember that thread but mine does not have the sling loop like the one in your picture. I had to drill down further and came up with the link within a link(which you provided):

I guess the one I just got is German based on that thread.
