    Default SA G3

I am the original owner of an as new Springfield Armory stamped G3 Made in Greece.
Is it correct that it’s manufactured on original HK tooling and under HK supervision?
How is different from an HK 91 and what do you think it’s present value is?

It is made by EBO in Greece on HK tooling and under HK supervision. Is it actually stamped G3? Or is it SAR 3 or 8. It is no different from an HK 91 except for markings. The Blue Book of gun values puts it at $1000.

I bought a SAR 3/8 over stamp earlier this year for $1000.

    Own: HK91, SR9, SP5k, G36k, HK416, P30L, 2x P8, 2x P8A1, USP9, USP9 FDE
Future: Done, until HK comes out with something new & nifty. Might start building an FNH collection.

It’s SN 535X. Stamped G3. Unfired. I understand the serial number means it’s one of the first 35X imported before HK sued SA to stop using their G3 designation

This. BB sucks when it comes to just about anything HK and the G3 stamped SA rifle is more rare than HKs themselves. The SAR3/8, depending on configuration and condition are good for $1200-$1700. Your G3 stamped rifle should bring not a cent less than $2k if it's in like new condition. NIB, name your price.
I don't "run" my guns or "run" anything on them. Likewise, none of my guns are "platforms". I hold them up, not the other way around.

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on a nice acquisition!!!
Information on the Springfield Armory G3:

    1. Under 500 imported (highest G3 that I have seen is 05473--- lowest SAR 3 is 05482)
    2. First under 200 were not marked "MADE IN GREECE" (lowest that I have seen marked as such is 05196).
    3. HK filed a lawsuit against SA to remove the "G3" marking (hence, the subsequent SAR 3)

The SA G3 is rare (due to the marking) and collectible (as a pre-89).
Value questions are limited to the Premium Section (not my rule) --- your first post may be moved, or you can revise your post to delete the value inquiry.

PM me when you have 5 posts (another rule).

The Blue Book is unrealistic in most values on pre-89 items!!!
