I am the original owner of an as new Springfield Armory stamped G3 Made in Greece.
Is it correct that it’s manufactured on original HK tooling and under HK supervision?
How is different from an HK 91 and what do you think it’s present value is?
Own: HK91, SR9, SP5k, G36k, HK416, P30L, 2x P8, 2x P8A1, USP9, USP9 FDE
Future: Done, until HK comes out with something new & nifty. Might start building an FNH collection.
It’s SN 535X. Stamped G3. Unfired. I understand the serial number means it’s one of the first 35X imported before HK sued SA to stop using their G3 designation
Congrats, you have a rare one.
+1 IMHO Worth way more that the “blue book” to the right buyer too.
*Locked out of my original AKR account...
I don't "run" my guns or "run" anything on them. Likewise, none of my guns are "platforms". I hold them up, not the other way around.
Information on the Springfield Armory G3:
1. Under 500 imported (highest G3 that I have seen is 05473--- lowest SAR 3 is 05482)
2. First under 200 were not marked "MADE IN GREECE" (lowest that I have seen marked as such is 05196).
3. HK filed a lawsuit against SA to remove the "G3" marking (hence, the subsequent SAR 3)
The SA G3 is rare (due to the marking) and collectible (as a pre-89).
