Anybody use the adapter and cut down the A3 stock to use the Gearhead tailhook brace? I have several traditional German A3’s and a couple of F style as well. Want some feedback before jumping in and doing it.

I wouldn’t cut up an HK non F A3 stock to make a brace.
Why would you cut them? They make an adapter that attaches to your stock without the need to cut. Just remove and replace and runs $59.95

Get an SBR tax stamp and call it a day.
WTB: HK94 (IG preferably)
WTB: SP89 (IK only)
Selling one would pay for the stamp + some pocket change.
I understand about the SBR thing however I live literally 10 miles from other states and actually have to travel through another state to get to some areas of the county I live in. So if I had to notify ATF everytime I crossed a state line, I would never be able to enjoy my stuff. What I was referring to was a while back I saw, on Tom Bostics site a small round piece of polymer that had two threaded holes in it. From what I understand you simply cut off the lower portion of the old style A3 stock drilled two holes through the remaining part and the round part that was attached would hold the tailhook brace. This is what I was looking for feedback on, to see if anyone here had done it. And how well it worked.
