Default Heckler & Koch HK91 .308 SACO import

No affiliations but this looks suspect. The price and the fact that the person is a NR, makes me say, hmmmmm!

I like how he says it is a SACO import, but there are no markings. I thought SACO stopped importing them in 1978-1979. Tony would be the one to know this. I always get concerned when seller has no rating. I have not been following pricing on HK 91s recently, but price may be too good to be true.

I noticed the last 2 HK91 that sold on GB went for $2,400 and $2,376.

Nope, not a Security Arms Co. import...they were required to label them anyway.

The SACo stamping was done in Germany.

Not that it is a bad rifle, just being sold by an ignorant outfit.

Agreed. It’s a good looking rifle. I just bought my first 91 last week paid less then these prices (And I was following what they were going for for a while). Those seem to be around the average prices lately. 93s don’t seem to be too affected though. My guess, some people are hard up for money. Being a NR seller though and trying to sell something like this right off the bat? Definitely a cause for some concern. Could just be a seller hard up for some coin not really sure what he has just needs some cash, giving the benefit of the doubt of course

Probably a scam--- correct--- SACO and HK/Arlington transition in 1979--- picture clearly shows an HK/Arlington import, and the SN confirms this!!!
