    If this post is for real, the easiest way is, first fitting the mandrel into the chamber prior to putting it in the vice.

    Beware of some SL8-s that have loktite on the barrel nut. So you my need to heat the trunnion area up with a heat gun prior to attempting to loosen the nut. I have not experience this issue myself but it is a situation some have faced.
