    Nope. You cannot return it to a pistol, you can only make it a title 1 rifle with a 16”+ barrel if you want it off the registry.

    Form 1. I thought about sending in a letter to have it removed from the registry but that will take some time and a buyer would need to engrave again if converted back to an SBR. I thought I would try it like this and go from there.

    You actually just have to notify them that you want it removed from the registry, you don't have to wait for an approval like you do to put the stock on. I went through this a few years back. As for the engraving, yes, the purchaser will have to engrave their information, but i'd rather engrave again than wait 10 months.
