    Default MP5 Discreet Carry Solutions

Curious as to what some of you have come up with, be it a regularly available offering, or something more creative. I just picked this up this weekend; it's a Targus laptop bag for 18.4" laptops. Makes for a nice, compact, portable solution for the SBR, mags, and even a fixed stock. I had received a $50 Giftcard to Best Buy, so I tossed in another $30 so that I can tote the MP5 without startling any of the nosy neighbors.

    What are you guys using?

I carry my MP5 in a 5.11 Select Carry sling pack. Looks like a messenger bag but gives you easy access to the MP5 with the A3 stock collapsed (or MP5 pistol).

I also have the 5.11 carry pack and love the contraption. Use it for my MP5 and a Robinson SBR. I leave the pistol patch off of mine and use just the large bag.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition either! ;) Seriously though, with the rise in street performers playing any instrument under the sun whilst wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts, an instrument case or bag isn't beyond the scope of the goal! After all, a big factor in discreet carry is whether or not the case matches the clothing/appearance of the person...

Um, stupid kinda on topic question. If you have cwp and an MP5K, can you carry that concealed? Sorry if I wandered a bit. That's just been bugging me.

You'll have to check the SC laws, but in Texas, the license is a concealed HANDGUN license, not a concealed WEAPON license. So an SP89 would be fine for concealed carry. An MP5K is a machinegun, and so would not be.

you can't carry a rifle concealed in texas as dave said. I dunno about your local laws, but here is a handgun carry permit. Unless it was in the hk breifcase it would be hard to yank out and use from a concealed position. Our laws wont even let us have a "print" of the gun on our person, so unless you walk around in a 1992 starter jacket all the time I dunno where you would hide it printless. Would be cool to yank out and point at a would be robber though.
