Amen; far too many partial smiths that cut partial threads! (note: not ROFLMAO, however) I just had to post to finally make it to 1600 ....

Reviving this thread to see if there are updates on who can cut down a 94 barrel to mp5 length without removing the barrel.
Also I want to start the Form 1 process and would like to know if marking the barrel length at 8.9 in is correct.

    Thanks

m60joe did this for me. Also threaded it and I added a 3 lug.

Personally I'd pull the 94 barrel and replace it with a B&T, that's what I did with my SP5K and will be doing to a 94 when my Form 1 comes back.

How can I contact Mr. m60joe? A search for that handle doesn't reveal much.

Just googled M60Joe and this link came up.

    M60Joe

    Chuck

    PS:
    The B&T MP5 barrels come in 1/2" x 28TPI and well as the Hk std 9mm threading of 1/2" x 32TPI

Why are you opposed to removing the barrel?

From my research I understand its a big risk to have it removed and re-installed. But I could be off in my understanding.

Replacing a barrel is a risk for setting a proper placement. Remove and reinstall, I've been told the barrel naturally wants to return to its original factory placement. Most of your risk is picking the wrong smith, not whether the barrel is removed.
